My name is Sonjha Kellock and I am an Environmental Scientist (BSc 1996) and as such we as a company try to find as many Eco friendly products as possible without compromising the quality. All eco friendly products are advertised as such in the listings, which are mainly cards and envelopes but this range is continuing to grow. We have been closely involved with the craft industry since 2004. This has enabled us to have a firm foundation and lnowledge of the products we offer. We also recycle as much packaging as possible.

Crafts and me

I have been a keen crafter for many years and then I ‘discovered’ card making and everything has grown from that point onwards. Initially I didn’t feel very confident at card making as I did not feel particularly artistic. Then friends started to buy their cards from me and my confidence soared, so if I can achieve a really nice result then anyone of any ability can. Cardomine Crafts now stocks a broad range of products that will help to assist you to achieve great results as new products are regularly introduced to the site that help to simplify papercrafting.

Papercrafting

Papercrafting is a general term which encompasses all paper crafts including cardmaking, scrapbooking, tea bag folding etc. It is a very relaxing hobby and can be enjoyed by everybody regardless of age or ability. The choice of products is huge, ranging from the very easy craft products like pre made 3D embellishments to the more complex products like decoupage and iris folding. The hobby can be as expensive or as cheap as you wish.

Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is a fantastic hobby to capture all the memories associated with the photographs used on each page. You can use either card or paper sheets to build your page onto and can be as complex as you would like. The products used in all papercrafts can be used on your scrapbook pages as well. Please remember to use acid and lignin free products wherever possible as the acid will slowly make your photographs deteriorate and cause ‘yellowing’ on the photograph particularly at the edges.

Cardmaking

Cardmaking is a great hobby which helps add a personal touch to a card. The recipient will feel extra special knowing you have spent time creating the card just for them. You do not need any artistic ability to create a really beautiful card as there is a huge selection of products designed to make the hobby as enjoyable as possible to all ages and abilities. Decoupage

Decoupage is a term used to describe an area of papercrafting where a design is cut out of a sheet of paper/card in decreasing sections and then layered to give a 3D effect. Decoupage can be a more complex part of cardmaking depending on the design you choose. Paper decoupage sheets are generally cheaper but can be very fragile if an intricate design is chosen whereas a thin card is usually slightly more expensive but it offers more ‘substance’ to the finished design. Depending on the number of layers used in the design will influence the adhesive used. 3D foam is the most commonly used product as this is available in assorted sizes and depths but you could also use silicone glue but this does take longer due to the drying time required by the adhesive. We offer a huge range of adhesives which should cover all areas of papercrafting.

Clutter Decoupage

Clutter decoupage is a gorgeous range of a modern style of decoupage. Clutter decoupages are very easy to follow and are ideal for beginners or the more experienced card maker. Each sheet has a small picture of how the finished card could be completed. The Clutter range are all printed onto thin card which gives them a more substantial appearance when completed and are easier to layer using 3D foam.

Rubber Stamping

Rubber stamps are a very versatile item for your craft box, as the different effects of each media used can totally change the image produced using the same stamp. Rubber stamps can be used with an ink pad, embossing pad and chalks or heat embossed using an embossing pad and embossing powder. All of these media will produce a completely different effect.
